What does the Seafood Tracker do?

The Seafood Tracker collects important data about seafood harvests, specificly shellfish. The information we collect is:  who harvested the product, what it was that was harvested  the temperature at harvest and a couple of other useful pieces of information. Having quick access to this information is important to shellfish farm ownes as well as sales staff and consumers.  

The data is collected via a standard website form and passed by PHP to a MySQL database where it is stored. Once the data has been successfully submitted to the database the end used is redirected to a webpage with thier harvest information as well as that of other recent submissions.

Having this information available for customers ensures transparency, conveys product freshness and adds and extra layer of product traceability.
